Love the Bean
Tacoma Bean has established a tradition of quality flavor and our coffee houses are strong advocates of our music and arts culture. You'll encounter our independent roots and discover a taste worth sharing with your friends.
We're big imbiber's of beer and with world class options from cocktails to cold brews and even sake, good strong drinks are a staple of our blue collar ways Destiny-wide.
Love the Sound
Retro and hand sewn thread are staples of any Northwest wardrobe, and our
indi class doesn't fall short when it comes to fashion. With designers like Chelsia Berry (pictured right) and Jessica Alexander of Nutti Yogini, you'll discover the attention taken in the details.
Your body deserves attention below the thread lines, too - massage, pedi- and manicures, scalp rubs, acupuncture, yoga and dance are elements of our ways of life that will better your spirit and give you joy from the inside out.
Taste & Savor
Plates loaded with foods you'll rave over make our town's feasts a gourmand's great dream. Tatanka to Vegetarian meals, we demand better quality foods than your average American town: Discover why. For grocery, find organic and local produce, hormone-free meats, farm fresh eggs and more.
Visit the coop, experience our Farmer's Markets, eat meats from Dave's and enjoy a huge selection of fresh
organic produce at Marlene's. Northwest food is better food, actually.

Locally owned and operated, TBC is possibly Washington's largest used book store, and one of the few remaining bookstores that is both very large with a wide selection of titles and still truly independent. TBC has been serving the Tacoma area for the last 20 years. Great language section.
