The Great American Mercow Dilemma
How can we know what Genetically Altered foods are going to do to us? Some studies already show they cause toxins to build up in the bloodstream - so why wouldn't we want to know if we are eating them? Many of us prefer a better, more proven way.
The Issue is Not a New One

Excerpt from AAEM Press Release
< The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) today released its position paper on Genetically Modified foods stating that "GM foods pose a serious health risk" and calling for a moratorium on GM foods. Citing several animal studies, the AAEM concludes "there is more than a casual association between GM foods and adverse health effects" and that "GM foods pose a serious health risk in the areas of toxicology, allergy and immune function, reproductive health, and metabolic, physiologic and genetic health." >
So What's on Your Home Plate ?
The health of our families is not a game - and when the well being of our loved ones is involved, there is no such thing as too much care, or too much vigilance taken to understand the issues involved in a child's growth or loved one's health.
Especially at the earliest stages of development, the central nervous and autoimmune systems are at their most sensitive stages, and the most recent scientific studies of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) clearly show that toxins accumulate in the body and the bloodstream when GMOs are eaten. Toxins by definition are hazardous to the processes of healthy growth, and the GMO industry is too young for us to know the full impacts of their presence in our lives.
A good history with known effects is here.
Many of us believe they are simply not worth the risks, that our traditional foods are good enough as they are, well proven and taste better anyway. Whatever you finally decide, at least take the time to know the facts.
